Time For Some Food Funnies Folks!

March 25, 2010

A friend shared this with me so I will pass it on  to you. It did make me laugh!

A dietitian was once addressing a large audience in Chicago. “The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Vegetables can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the germs in our drinking water.”

Continued the dietician, “But there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all; and all of us eat it. Can anyone here tell me what lethal product I’m referring to? You, sir, in the first row, please give us your idea.” The man lowered his head and replied, “Wedding cake?”

Hello world!

“ Lookout world, here I come!” That’s what the motivational speaker said about 25 years ago when I was a very young professional trying to absorb all the wisdom of time. As it turned out I think  wisdom absorbed me. First it circled around and around not really sure what to make of me. By and by wisdom and I warmed up to each other and decided we weren’t so bad after all. We began to seek each other out and eventually became fast friends, good friends. You see, wisdom had worked on me since childhood. And I knew that all along.

Yes, hello world! Here I come. Thank God for wisdom. Thank you for teaching me so many good lessons in life when I was so young, and more when I matured. You never left my side. You kept vigil sweetly, silently.  Now it’s up to me to share.                          Terrie L. Clarke, MS, RD
